"Gap" is an interdisciplinary art and research project at the Braunschweig University of Art by Stefanie Lorey, Åsa Stjerna and Steffi Weismann (awardees of the Dorothea-Erxleben-Program 2009-2011) with 20 students from visual art, sound art, performing arts and communication design.

"What is a gap? It is the scope for development that is available in both the creative process and the reception, an interplay between thoughts and actions of the artist and viewer. It stands for the interaction that occurs between right and left. In this sense, the "Gap" exhibition does not only sharpen the awareness of the many forms of emptiness, but also stimulates a reflection of the invisible and absent." (Ina Hengstler)
